UPDATE AGAIN: I heard from the original artist [Internet celebrity geek-out moment], who shared some more cool things with me:

Here’s a link to the time-elapse Sam Klee of Uthinkmedia.com did of the final installation…

Also, here’s the artist’s website: http://buttonpresser.com

UPDATE: Wow, this blew up out of nowhere after nearly a week. Here’s the background story. The guy’s name is Peter Fecteau. It’s a mosaic of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, and the final project will require over 4200 Rubik’s Cubes.

Arrested Development gets new movie and TV show

Fans of Arrested Development received two great pieces of news today: the long-discussed movie is happening and it will follow on from new TV episodes of the cult show!

Creator Mitchell Hurwitz says the TV show could film next summer and focus on the main characters’ lives over the past five years.

While there’s no shooting schedule yet for the movie, Hurwitz added that the “creative aspects” are in place and negotiations will hammer out “the business side”.

I saw some Boston fans helping out with the post-riot cleanup downtown, and I was so touched. I am aching and sore from scrubbing walls for four hours, but I am so glad that I got to experience the beauty of Vancouver, including the love and solidarity of those who wanted to preserve it… whether inhabitants or not.

20 years old. Dropped out of college because I feared the weight of the loans would be too much for my parents. With just one semester of college under my belt we are 16000 in debt. My dreams of becoming an architect are fading. Fed up with serving tables I am contemplating joining an armed service for free college and fight for a country I no longer believe in.
